The Metropolitan Detention Center, called MDC or Metro Jail, is the Los Angeles Police Department's main jail in downtown LA. It is a city police jail, not the federal jail with a similar name.
LAPD says bail can be posted at its jails 24 hours a day. A bail bond is one of the accepted ways to post. The jail will need a bail amount first, and some people with holds or warrants can’t be bailed out until those are cleared.
If your loved one isn’t bailed out before court, they can be moved to the LA County Sheriff’s jail system downtown. Calling early gives Chad the best chance to post the bond at the LAPD jail.
