Public Record

15

MCLE Course Author

Wrote and taught a continuing legal education course on bail bond law for California attorneys. Approved by the State Bar.

14

Prop 103 Rebate Pioneer

Hired an attorney, studied the law, and became one of the first bail agents in California to say publicly that Proposition 103 allows premium rebates. The industry pushed back hard. My 2014 statement was later quoted in a federal antitrust complaint over bail pricing.

16

Sued the Insurance Commissioner

Filed Conley v. Dave Jones (BC630383) after a rule stopped me from helping my own family find a lawyer. The court kept the rule. I'd take that stand again. Then I built the free Resource Directory.

19

Quoted in a Federal Antitrust Case

Crain v. Accredited Surety and Casualty Company. My 2014 statement on rebates was quoted in the complaint. I was never a party. In 2026, several defendants reached proposed settlements totaling $69.4 million, which still need the court's approval.

The Short Version

I came from construction. When the 2008 downturn hit, I was a single dad who needed to be there for my son during the day, so I started over in fugitive recovery at night. Then I got licensed and built my name one bond at a time.

I spent almost two decades as a felon over a 1996 marijuana case, while dispensaries opened on every corner. I fought to clear it, step by step. Under California law, I'm not a felon anymore.

I told families the truth about Prop 103 rebates. I took on the state for families like mine. I'm an alcoholic, I'm sober, and I came back stronger.

I put my whole story out there for one reason: if you're at ground zero right now, you can turn it around. Read the full story. Read the full story.

After the bond

The bond is just the start. Chad stays with you.

Price matters. But a lot of bail companies are salespeople sitting at a desk. They sell you the bond on the phone that night, and after that you get passed from department to department. With Chad, the same person who writes your bond is the one who picks up when something comes up.

Missed a court date?

Call Chad right away. We help you get back on the court calendar and get it fixed before it gets worse.

Bail raised, or charges added?

We explain what happened and handle the change to the bond.

A new case, or an old one just now filed?

Sometimes charges show up for something from before. We work through it with you.

Questions about your payments?

You talk to us, not a collections department.

A real example (name changed)

Fred missed his court date, and he still owed a balance. Chad helped him anyway. He stayed up late with him and put together the paperwork to ask the court to reinstate his bond. On the way to court, Fred's car broke down and got towed, with the paperwork inside. So Chad did it all over again, and Fred came by the office to pick up a new set.

You could roll the dice on whoever quotes the cheapest bond on the phone. Or you could have a bondsman who picks up when it really matters.
