Getting there
- 1100 Union Street, downtown San Diego. The criminal business office is open 8:30 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday (closed court holidays).
- Many office phones are only answered 8:30 to 11:30 AM on weekdays, so call early.

If you're out on bail
- Go to every court date, on time. If they miss court, the judge can issue a bench warrant and forfeit the bail.
- Running late or already missed it? Call Chad right away. The sooner we know, the easier it is to fix.
- After every hearing, text or call Chad with the next court date.
- Bring a photo ID and any court papers. Leave knives, tools and anything sharp at home or in the car. Everyone goes through security.
If bail changes at court, or they're in custody
- Sometimes a judge raises bail or orders someone into custody right in the courtroom. If that happens, they’re taken to a Sheriff jail.
- Call Chad from the hallway with their full name, case number and the new bail amount, if the judge set one. We can start the new bond right away.
- In San Diego County, bail bonds are delivered in person to the custody office at a Sheriff jail. Our local posting agent handles that, so you don’t have to.
