What Families Should Know

The 77th Street Regional Jail is the Los Angeles Police Department's jail at the 77th Street Community Police Station in South Los Angeles.

LAPD says bail can be posted at its jails 24 hours a day. A bail bond is one of the accepted ways to post. The jail will need a bail amount first, and some people with holds or warrants can’t be bailed out until those are cleared.

If your loved one isn’t bailed out before court, they can be moved to the LA County Sheriff’s jail system downtown. Calling early gives Chad the best chance to post the bond at the LAPD jail.

Chad checks how releases are running when the bond is accepted and gives you his best estimate then. Release timing depends on the jail’s workload, staffing and paperwork.

Jail details are from the LAPD Jail and Custody Information page. LAPD makes its own booking, transfer and release decisions.

Ready to Get Them Out?

Call 855-BAD-CHAD right now. We answer 24/7 and we'll get to work immediately.

After the bond

The bond is just the start. Chad stays with you.

Price matters. But a lot of bail companies are salespeople sitting at a desk. They sell you the bond on the phone that night, and after that you get passed from department to department. With Chad, the same person who writes your bond is the one who picks up when something comes up.

Missed a court date?

Call Chad right away. We help you get back on the court calendar and get it fixed before it gets worse.

Bail raised, or charges added?

We explain what happened and handle the change to the bond.

A new case, or an old one just now filed?

Sometimes charges show up for something from before. We work through it with you.

Questions about your payments?

You talk to us, not a collections department.

A real example (name changed)

Fred missed his court date, and he still owed a balance. Chad helped him anyway. He stayed up late with him and put together the paperwork to ask the court to reinstate his bond. On the way to court, Fred's car broke down and got towed, with the paperwork inside. So Chad did it all over again, and Fred came by the office to pick up a new set.

Some companies quote a low rate on the phone, then ask for more money once the paperwork is done, when it's too late to start over. Chad tells you what you'll need before anyone fills out a form.
