ARRESTED BY CHINO HILLS SHERIFF. YOU WILL BE TAKEN TO THE WEST VALLEY DETENTION CENTER IN SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY
The booking and bail bond process:
Starting from the arrest, there will be transportation time to the jail. Once the custody transfer paperwork is done, your booking process will start. County jail is generally a 6-8 hour process. The sheriff does not give any updates along the way. There have been bookings that have been as quick as 4 hours and some that have been 12 plus hours.
Once fully booked, the sheriff will accept a bond.
During this time, you will want to get all the bail bond paperwork completed and have your bondsman on standby, ready to post the bond as soon as the booking process is complete.

West Valley Detention Center tends to be all over the board when it comes to release times. They have implemented a new bond, info, and release protocol, but the release seems to be about the same. Generally, it takes 6 to 8 hours for release. However, there are many things that seem to come up that affect this.
Things that can change the release time would be if the jail goes on a lockdown during the process. If they are short-staffed, on shift change, have an emergency in another section, or have a larger amount to process at one time.
Other things that can slow the process up would be how long NCIC takes to send their national background check to the sheriff prior to release. If you are under medical care or taking certain prescription drugs, you might require a doctor's release prior to accepting a bond. Another time they hold the release up is about 12:30 - 2 AM, as they do not like to release prior to the bar closing or alcohol not being sold. But for the majority of releases, it is 6-8 hours.
